ATA schedule:
Each ATA will assist four labs, each with a different instructor. If there are scheduling conflicts, work out a different day to assist with the same lab instructor. (For example, if Ximena is out of town March 21, she can schedule some other time to assist Jennifer. If Jeff plans to cancel class on March 1, he should ask Lauren to assist another week.)

There will be no Help Session for Spring 2011.

The Help Session takes place from 12:30-1:30 on Mondays and Thursdays in the Astronomy Library (Pupin 1402).

The 'ATAs'
Supplies
The following supplies are on the 12th floor.
- Optics Benches - contains lenses, light boxes, etc.
- Spectroscopes- of the tube and wedge variety.
- Sextants- there are about 6 of these, of varying degrees of complexity.
- Gratings - Two 600 line/mm spectroscope gratings, a box of 1000 line/mm slides (most of them are pretty beat up)
- Textbooks for general education
- meter sticks
- flashlights (there are also some in the Transit Room)
- vacuum tube
- A LOT of bits and pieces for making a Camera
- Two tuning fork resonance blocks
- Assorted lenses and prisms (mostly in boxes)
- Flasks for an atmosphere experiment
- Gas discharge tubes for spectroscopy and the associated power supplies
- Laser and attachments
Art Box:

- balls (some of which are now on the roof of the Pupin entrance)

Ask Kenneth (Physics department) for:
- Cloud Chamber for detecting Cosmic Rays (not sure if this is working)
- Larger vacuum tube demonstrations
- Doppler effect demonstrations
THINGS NOT ON THE 12 FLOOR!!!
- planispheres (of the plastic variety) are kept in the transit room. We only have 7 of them and only six are for 40deg N. (We should get more!)
- SLR Digital Cameras (2)- Kept in the bottom drawer of Cameron's filing cabinet, along with chargers and shutter button extenders. To learn how to use, ask him or Destry (people familiar with DSLRS)
- Green Laser Pointer- Ask Erika and she will give it to you. This has been lost in the past and so won't be in general circulation
- 2 Laptops- Ceres and Pallas- Kept in the top of the filing cabinet next to Lia's Desk. Please sign them out and return the cord.
